Disscussion: The Geographical extent of damage calculation in scope of LOKI
I had a concern regarding the geographical extent of the damage calculation in scope of LOKI and I thought to share it.

As we discussed in the LOKI Tech-board meeting, the geographical extent of the damage calculation should be limited by the extent of the ground motion field.
At the same time, the drone users, will take the exposure model from us and pick the buildings to inspect (their decision on where to inspect and take images is based on the exposure model they receive from us or at least this is what I inferred!) This makes it possible for them to carry out a damage assessment for a building that is outside the geographical extent of the ground-motion field that is fed into thelosscalculator
, thus we may face a case where there is no damage calculated (by thelosscalculator
) whereas there are damage assessments made by the drone images. What happens in this case? -
This is confusing me as I am not sure who is triggering the whole chain (please view the image below)! Is there a single person/program responsible to start the whole chain? So that there are no contradictions?

@marius suggested that we define a min and max long and lat to extract damage calculation from the
Damage database
for the end-users (as can be seen in the image; Or Are these just different APIs due to their different location in the image below?
